Community Technology Centers Launched.
With support from the AT&T Foundation, the LULAC Empower Hispanic America with Technology initiative provides Latino serving organizations with state-of-the-art computer equipment, software, and high speed internet access to create technology centers in their communities was launched. So far the initiative has provided support to open 23 technology centers in Hispanic communities within AT&T’s 13-state service area. LULAC and AT&T firmly believe that by empowering people with technological tools and skills we can advance their education, careers and quality of life.
