The ¡Adelante! America Youth Leadership Program

LULAC’s ¡Adelante! America Program seeks to create a motivational environment for Hispanic high school students that encourages and nurtures them to become leaders in their communities. Since its inception in 2008, ¡Adelante! America has worked with Latino youth to cultivate optimism, build resilience, and improve academic skills with the goal of successful high school completion. Designed as a leadership development program, ¡Adelante! America does more than simply expose participants to new ideas; it helps students take an active role in the decisions that shape their community. ¡Adelante! America provides exceptional personal development via one-on-one academic counseling sessions. Through its highly interactive and thought-provoking curriculum, ¡Adelante! America transitions students from the paradigm of observation to the paradigm of participation. ¡Adelante! America provides students with an expanded world-view and the tools necessary for succeeding in that world through college education.

¡Adelante! America Across the Nation

Since it's establishment in 2008, the impactful program caters to students/youth ranging in ages 13 to 18. ¡Adelante! America programs have empowered approximately 10,000 Latino students across the United States; with current locations in Hollister (CA), Killeen (TX), Vancouver (WA), Washington D.C, and Bayamon (PR). Having served over 10,000 low income, first generation students ¡Adelante America! is structured to accommodate the diversity prevalent at all levels of the Latino community.
